How to build a successful teamwork
To
build successful teamwork, the Tuckman model is used. According to that model,
there are four steps to team development as forming, storming, norming, and
performing
Norming is the stage where employees get to know each other’s roles and understand each other while getting along. In this stage, employees get settle down with them to perform the task well. The final stage of building a successful team is performing and this is where all the outcomes come from the work that employees have done.
To
build successful teamwork not only these, but other factors also impact such as
skills and capabilities of the employees, their work capacity, the role of the
team leader, how team players and leaders work together, purpose and goals, the
efficiency of the employees, motivation, communication, incentives, etc
When looking at how the above-mentioned factors make the team successful, one of the main factors is the skills and capabilities of the team players. This factor can be improved through different ways such as organizations may organize different workshops to improve their knowledge and skills, while working together when team players share their knowledge also makes them skillful. The role of the team leader is a must to have a good team because his behavior makes the other players motivate and attractive. There should be charismatic leadership to be a successful team. Most importantly, the leader should get along with team players to work together and make the team players also work in a friendly manner to achieve their best.
All team players should
work together to achieve a common goal and objective as well as communicate
well with each other about the work and the announcements because all should be
well-known. Incentives make team players motivate and attract the work. When
team players are given very attractive incentives, that makes them motivated to
perform well. These things can help to build successful teamwork.

Psychologist Bruce Tuckman described how teams move through stages known as forming, storming, norming, and performing, and adjourning. Tuckman's model is significant because it recognizes the fact that groups do not start off fully-formed and functioning.
ReplyDeleteIn most of the time , teams fail to reach the highest performance stage because of lack in one or more of the 4 C's: Commitment, Cooperation, Communication, and Contribution. Manager has to play a vital role on developing a team.
As per the Tuckman's theory there are 5 stagers & manager has to involve in different levels during these each levels. Storming will be the most difficult stage which manager has to involve with his full potential.
Theres no doubting ,when your employees work together , as a collective unit , they are more efficient and productive than if they were to work individual
