Moreover, this makes the safety of the employees. When companies work like this
it makes employees and other corporate users understand and improve knowledge
of the applications and systems. When creating a smart workplace using IT, it
is important to safeguard the organization’s systems from malfunctions and
unethical accesses

If there are employees who do not like these changes, the organization should concern about them and find the solutions to make them adaptive to the environmental changes.
When working smart, it is important to increase
the trust of the employees and it leads to get appropriate decisions,
responsible choices, and act as more mature individuals. Moreover, it is crucial
to evaluate how this change affects the organization, and after evaluating, if
there are negative consequences, it is needed to give solutions to make it
positive rather than going back to old traditional working place.

Smart work place is a timely topic and most of the organizations are in trend of converting their work forces into smart workforces with the Covid 19 outbreak. Author has well described the topic. As per the author smart work force is a boom for employers. According to Buchanan, 2019 it has also changed the power balance in the employer-employee relationship. My point of view is it can reduce employee focus in some levels towards their job targets because of the ability to work from anywhere and stay connected through smart phones, tablets, and other mobile devices.

With IT, the smart workplace is a topical topic and with the explosion of Covid 19 many organizations have a tendency to transform their workforce into smart workforce. The author seems to have studied the facts with great interest. The ability to work from anywhere and connect via smart phones, tablets, and other mobile devices is well worth the point, as this ability to reduce employees' focus on job goals to some degree is appropriate.

These factors have led to the rise of the “smart workplace”. Many companies have redesigned and digitalised their workplace, but this is only a part of the journey. They have to create a total solution that has successfully enhanced employee productivity, engagement and performance. Companies are also having to manage the expectations of a more diverse workforce, while at the same time clearly communicating their culture and values.
