1.    Relationship between employee motivation and organizational goals.

Motivation is the process of persuading the employees to act in a determined desired to achieve the organization’s goals (Zeru, 2019)

That means motivation and organization goals are linked together. When utilizing their motives, that makes employees to achieve the goals of the organization. To motivate the employees, the organization first needs to understand their employees and find out the needs of the employees. Then initiate the motives to make their mind to achieve the goals. 

There are many advantages to motivating employees. When the organization motivates the employees, employees’ needs get satisfied and that leads them to work at their best (Zeru, 2019). When employees work better, that leads to an increase in the efficiency of the organization and finally resulting in high productivity. Moreover, when the organization satisfies the employees’ needs, that makes them be loyal because they think that organization thinks about them.

 When they become loyal and make commitments to the organization, that leads to achieving the goals and objectives. Further advantages of motivating the employees are facilitating the direction and ensuring the reactive workforce. The organization’s goals are the strategic objectives. The management of the organization set up the goals to get desired outcomes and guide organization employees. When goals are set in the organization, that will be important to describe the organization’s purpose. Moreover, when goals are there, it will be easy to achieve growth because goals guide the employees in the correct direction. 

Goals are always aligned with the company vision and the mission unless the organization will go in a different direction and may incur the cost and make losses instead of making profits. Moreover, goals should be very specific and short-term (The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, 2017). Those should be very easy to understand to the employees and those should be achieved timely. When achieving goals, that can be used to evaluate the employee performance. 

Since the goals are measurable, that will help to evaluate whether those goals are achieved or not and that can get understand about how to set up goals and how to make improvements in the employee capabilities. Therefore, when considering goals and motivation both are linked together.

    Mohsen et al. (2004) suppose, that employee motivation and commitment is very important for an organization’s success.

    Robbins (1993) define the employee motivation (as cited in Ramlall, 2004) as: “the willingness to exert high levels of effort toward organizational goals, conditioned by the effort’s ability to satisfy some individual need”

In this context, motivation means the willingness of the employees to make efforts and take action towards organizational objectives. The challenge for the organizational management is to see that not only the employees are motivated but the employees’ motivation is also sustained.

Many organizations are now beginning to pay to increase attention to developing their employees as future recourses upon which they can draw, as they grow in an effort to ensure a continual reservoir of well trained and highly motivated people.
