Employee empowerment
means people who work in lower levels in the organization hierarchy engage in
the decision-making process
The empowered employees are closer to the problems that are needed to be solved. Therefore, they can find out solutions easier since that is where they are allocated their work. It saves time for the employees at a higher level. When lower-level employees make decisions, it may increase their morale and they feel proud of their selves. Moreover, when managers pass their responsibility to lower-level employees, that makes the relationship between managers and the employees as well as they think that they are valued employees to the organization.
When empowered employees commit to their work, their responsibilities get increased and when they involve in strategy, they get self-motivated. These commitments of empowered employees make increase customer satisfaction because employees start to think about the organization and its customers in a different way when they engage in the strategy development process. When employees are empowered, it makes them satisfied with the organization and it reduces the cost of turnover, cost of hiring more employees, and cost of training and development process.
Moreover, when
managers pass the responsibility to lower levels, it reduces the managers’
stress and they can involve in the strategy improvement process,
customer-centered activities, and other projects in the organization. When
employees are empowered that may increase the staff retention because they are
satisfied about their job and decreasing the rate of changing the organization
to another different organization
That leads to a positive point to the organization with regard to the resource in the organizations because employees are the human resource in the organizations and that is an asset. Further, when employees are empowered that increases the trust of the subordinates and that leads to a good relationship between both parties.
When employees are empowered that makes them be more creative because
they are voluntarily involved in the different assignments which leads to know
about their hidden talents and more novel ideas

Empowerment is the process of giving employees in the organization the power, authority, responsibility, resources, freedom to take decisions and solve work related problems. In order to take such initiatives and decisions, they are given adequate authority and resources. The empowered employee becomes “self-directed” and “self-controlled”. Empowerment focuses on employees to make use of their full potential.
